Leaving aside the inherent absurdity of Boycott lecturing anyone about over-cautious cricket , I think he has overreacted slightly to what sounds to me like a slightly humorous comment on the disparaging remarks about West Indies cricket which the new boss made , perhaps unwisely , before the series.
Criticism of Cook is one thing - everyone is entitled to their opinion ; but this sounds like a witch hunt.

And I am sure Aidan can take care of that without any help from Geoffrey :)


The comment itself isn't much of an issue. More of events that have transpired on this Carribean tour and the method of thinking displayed by the ECB, which has caused Boycott to react the way he did.
