Will that really have any effect? Bouncing it in to the keeper might, but you aren't allowed to do that unless youre trying to effect a run out or chucking it back from the boundary.

Should be allowed to throw the ball in on the bounce. That's natural deterioration of the ball. There's no reason why that shouldn't be ok, as long as you're not bouncing it on the strip.

You can, but the umpires frown on it if you are doing it close in when its a dot ball.

People come up with contrived ways in which the balance can be evened up between bat and ball. They could help just by getting rid of the contrivance of stopping people throwing in as they like.

Like Root, he's pretty wristy and manoeuvres the ball into space well. Had a great tour and lived up to his reputation.
