depends whether he plays for every ball going straight on!

the only mystery bit about mystery spin is why they call it spin

Their main bowler now is a leggie, so he should be legit.

I wasn't questioning the legitimacy, just whether a mystery spinner ever spins the ball. It always seems to me that when a mystery spinner picks up a wicket it's because the batsman has played for turn that just wasn't there

He's played international bowlers with assurance, admittedly at T20 level. He was a machine at the start of the season. He's very elegant and generates power in his shots with little effort. He hits mystery spin and pace alike into the stands... I accept he's bang out of form.

Haven't we got enough one day players players in the team.

cant remember the exact quote but didn't bayliss say he saw tests requiring the same skillsets as ODIs now but just a little more patience

not sure I fully agree with him as the sort of patience required in tests is a skill in itself imo

just watching CWOTV and they are saying that the omission of haddin has potentially created a rift in the aussie camp when he wasn't recalled after missing lords for family reasons

my impression is that his place for lords was in question anyway, nevill had a pretty good game at lords so is this something that is being made into a bigger deal than it should be because of the loss at Edgbaston, especially considering nevill had another decent game

I'm perfectly comfortable with the Aussies tearing themselves apart, tbh. Perhaps somebody close to the Aussie camp suggesting decapitation for the good of the team would stir things up a bit more?

I still recall the way they shrugged off England's success against a very decent NZ side, in interview when they first arrived. Well one thing is certain....... they aren't so *modded* cocksure now!

To be fair I'd be happier with Haddin playing than Nevill. :hide
