England really thrown this away with some shockingly bad shots

overall cant really argue tho with the aussie girls winning the ashes , they have looked the better team

I'm not sure if it's my imagination, but i'm convinced the standard of women's international cricket has dropped in the last few years.

Wow Australia absolutely dominated this series, and it's quite remarkable how they were able to defend that total. :clap

Edwards interviewed after the game

Australia took an unassailable 10-4 lead in the multi-format series but Edwards said: "I feel I have a lot to contribute to this team.

"This is not the time to walk away from English cricket."

The 35-year-old added: "I don't think one bad series defines me as a player or captain."

that sounds eerily familiar :hmmm

I was thinking more of cook , its basically his stock answer every time he loses a series

Don't see any reason why Lottie should step down or retire just yet. She's still in decent form in ODI cricket although current T20 form needs improvement in time for the World Twenty20 next year.

wasn't suggesting she should , just thought the comments sounded very "canned"

she has had problems with her knees for quite a while now tho afaik so cant have that many years left at this level
