I know this is late but could watch last session I suppose. But this youtube stream works if you download the zenmate chrome extension and change your location. Remember to turn it off once it works.

Someone might have posted this already, I haven't read any of the thread.

If only Dhoni resigned the captaincy earlier india could have made a much better fist of it in England then losing 3-1 under Dhoni.
Kohli captainacy so far been pretty good made some mistakes but he trying to win games and most importantly India under him haven't given up.

This tour is probably shown me how Looking at averages at abroad might not give the full picture.
India won the series 2-1 and have generally out bowled and out batted Sri lanka in this series.

But looking at batting averages you won't really see many batsman doing well.

Kohli Averages 38
Rahane 29
Generally the batting averages are low even though 5 Indian batsman score centuries.
Whenever India needed runs someone generally got them.

in 10 years time we might be looking at rahane and Kohli saying their were *modded* in Sri lanka when in reality their were not that bad but the conditions this series was played in made them have bad statistics in Sri lanka.

Funny thing is people on twitter have already started discussing kohli batting in Sri lanka vs Smith batting in the Ashes.

I would take Kohli 38 average over the Smith Average of 58 in the Ashes.
Smith did nothing in the Ashes apart from making his stats look good in paper.

Except for winning the Man of the Match in the 2 Tests his side won of course. But sure, Kohli's performance is better because he had a Pujara (a guy whom he had been trying his best to keep out of the side) to step in on a green top when Kohli, as usual, failed whereas Smith had no one to make up for his failures at Trent Bridge and Edgbaston. :facepalm

To be fair you can argue Kohli captaincy won the series.
if Dhoni captained here would have easily been a draw or worse Sri lanka win.

Also in a low scoring series an average of 38 isn't bad.
Also kohli scored an 50 in the 2nd test when india were 12/2.

Generally in this series barring the galle 2nd innings, whenever india needed runs someone stood up.

would take Kohli performance over Smith who literally scored all his run in 2 test matches.

Seeing how tight this series was you can literally say if Kohli averaged 10 india would have lost the series.

Anyway all this shows how sometimes averages in a small sample size can be misleading.
