No Mitch1 or Haze.

Lots of options. I'd guess Khawaja will be at four. Burns and Bancroft to open. And O'Keefe to get another chance.

Bancroft
Burns
Smith
Khawaja
Voges
M.Marsh
Nevill
O'Keefe
Starc
Cummins
Lyon

S.Marsh/Maxwell/Siddle/Fekete
I always say that everybody's right.

Voges as Vice Captain, eh?

Goes to show how light-on in experience the Aus line up is. Not that he is a bad choice, imo, just a surprise for someone who hadn't considered the position.

I must admit, for the first time since I don't know when, I really have no idea how the team will line up, with Smith, Voges, Nevill, Starc and Lyon being the only certainties. There's still a couple o weeks to go. A thought did occur to me, though, and that is that Cameron Bancroft is a wicket-keeper. Give him the gloves, bring in Glenn Maxwell at 6 and move Mitch Marsh to 7.

Cameron Bancroft (wk)
Joe Burns
Steve Smith
Adam Voges
Usman Khawaja
Glenn Maxwell
Mitchell Marsh
Mitchell Starc
Pat Cummins
Peter Siddle
Nathan Lyon

Seven bowling options, including Smith.

do you really want to potentially compromise your wicket keeping position just to get a 7th bowler in ?

Not really. It was just a thought. I really don't know what they will do. If Peter Handscomb was in the side, I'd give him the gloves.

Wrote this on Pat Cummins. It was thrilling to watch him bowl in the ODIs.

Cummins being injured again is a bit of a concern.

That's a shame.

Another promising young bowler whose career looks like it will be blighted by injuries.

All we need now is for Starc to break down.

Faulkner should be competing with Marsh as an AR. Not sure why he has replaced Cummins. He is not good enough to be one of the main 4 bowlers in a Test.

Siddle, Starc, O'Keefe and Lyon is a pretty depressing attack in Asian conditions. Siddle is woeful in Asia, Starc looked knackered in the England ODIs and O'Keefe will be bowling to a predominantly left handed Bangladesh line up. At least the extra pace of Cummins gave some hope. Can't see us winning a Test with this attack unless Lyon does something special. If Bangladesh are courageous enough to prepare turners and not flat roads, they could win this series.

Its been nice to se BD's improved performances, but it'd be amazing if they won a game even against Australia, never mind the series.
