The tour is now in doubt amid security concerns.

CA is concerned about the security of the Aus players' averages.

Surely it won't go ahead. Once there is doubt, the board becomes responsible should the worst happen. I have a feeling that Australian teams have been particularly sensitive about sending teams to trouble spots (though stayed in England after the 05 bombings).

Can not see this tour happening now. Would be silly of CA to ignore government advice. Just wonder if something could be organised quickly up north in Australia, with all money being raised going to BD?

THe Aus players have been sent back to their state sides - which will make the one Day Cup much more interesting - which is a strong indication of a no-go.

Not a bad idea, yuppie. Why don't you email CA?

Resheduling the tour is going to be interesting given Australia have a packed Future Tours Programme, any new date for a tour looks likely to be in IPL season.

A bit of a contradiction there, don't you think?

And yet, among those signing up for the BPL next month are Darren Stevens, Ravi Bopara, Brad Hodge, Chris Jordan, Joshua Cobb. They don't seem to be too worried right now....

had a conversation with an aussie journalist about this and he agreed with me.

he agreed that with the security ban offered for the tour was good enough and the tour should have gone on.

https://twitter.com/GeoffLemonSport/sta ... 2844565505

personally think only Pak should have no cricket since the government has no control over the army or police force.

Bangladesh still has full control over their army and police force which can seen by the way their actually keep things in control over religious or electon protest and disruption.
if they never cancel any games before no idea why they are doing it now.
