Bavuma out for 34 off 117 balls...that represents a good innings, by the standards of South Africa's Test tour of India.

Well, that was some gritty batting by South Africa. 72 runs off 72 overs, not sure I've seen anything like that for quite some time.

It's never happened before

This amla/devilliers partnership is the slowest of any that has faced over 175 balls

Tremendous application shown by Amla in particular. :clap Didn't think him and ABD who score quickly in ODI format could bat at so less SR even in test.

SA have a real chance of drawing this test. Still 90 overs to go, so will require tremendous application and grit. These 2 and Faf have that. Would be a great way to sign off for SA if they do it.
For India, they need a couple of wickets so they can expose the inexperience / tail of SA. If these 3 can take SA till tea, they will leave India a bit deflated. India should target these 3 wickets before tea to win this.

The run rate's actually dropped today, still, a good day so far for South Africa.

Five down at tea, and the draw looks favourite.

Shouldn't be any overtime, so have SA just got two hours to last, against knackered bowlers.

But if ABDV goes India could knock the tail over.
