Day 4 confirmed as abandoned.

Only way we can see a result on day 5 is if WI pull a Cronje...

50 for Ramdin! I wish Shane Whine would shut up.

Now out for 62. Great catch by Smith.

All out for 330, pity there is not another 3 and a half days left to play.

I know it's been free for spectators, but I can't imagine this going any other way than calling the game off as early as allowed. Given the late start as well, it's not very fair on the public who've already lost three days of cricket.

Amazing that this much of the test has been lost. Apparently Sydney has the most days lost to rain of any Australian venue, but then they always play the Brisbane test first in the season, before tropical storm seasons starts in earnest, for that very reason. And Hobart doesn't get that many tests...

That's it for the Aussie summer then. Except for the away Tests in NZ.

I suppose they always finish the Tests after Sydney, but it feels like there must be a lot of the summer left. Some ODIs and T20 v India.

The West Indies took just 12 wickets in the three matches, well 2 and a bit.

The individual batting averages for the Aussie top five must have ranged from 50-300(Voges)?

Australia were keen on doing a deal to set up a run chase but WI turned the offer down. 370 in 70 overs sounds generous to me.

Who was the last Test captain to fix such a deal again? Hansie Cronje? We know how that turned out....

Holder was never going to accept that. If the WI bowlers couldn't bowl out Australia in an innings in the series to date, they weren't going to do it in 70 overs. Smith made that suggestion knowing full well that there's no way this West Indies team could win....
