You should know by now that my predictions are rarely right. That said, the saffers don't look that strong, bar two or three of them.

SA will miss Philander, as England will miss Anderson. Apart from them, both sides have a similar balance of proven talent, and prospects. Given home advantage, I can't see South Africa struggling to win.

is my team, with big Vern and Anderson to come back. Which gives me a bit of a swing towards SA. But then, if one team catches well, and the other badly, then everything changes.

England lose Anderson as slip off Moeen.

Disappointing to see Anderson missing this match. But I fancy England to edge this 2-1 as long as the batting stands up. Which is a bit of an if...
