Was about to type if Sara McGlashan stays until the end then I fancy the White Ferns chances, but now she's out!

There seems to be method in McGlashan and Satterwaite knocking it about for the most part, purely because the lower order have barely been out in the middle in this tournament.

Martin and Kasperek have the power, but seem to be picking out the fielders.

Very impressed with this West Indies team, got the skills in all three facets of the game. Are the girls paid professionals?

Apparently, a few of them are on central contracts, though I don't have a clue how many and what they're paid....three down at the halfway stage.

15 players have central contract and every full member barring Bangladesh and zimbabwe are professional and have central contracts.
Hussain, Knight etc talk lots of crap whenever they say england are the only professional side.
The only advantage England have is that they have loads of Coaches and specialist working for them.

All the team are full time now.

Congratulation WI for the win.

I believe the White Ferns are semi-professional and some players have careers away from the game. Satterthwaite works as a Vet and Perkins as a Police Officer.

Well done to the West Indies on reaching the final.

A cruel way to end for the White Ferns who looked very good going into the semi-final.

TBH all the women team are semi-professional.
Even england are semi-professional since they all have to work for Chance for shine and other stuff.

Doesn't surprise me they have job outside cricket considering women probably play around 8-10 games a year and a tournament every 2 years.
