It will be interesting to see how England approach these warm up games considering the size of their squad. Will they choose the team they believe is the best line up or will we see another of those 15 a side games which rarely answers difficult selection decisions.

So as expected Hales gets the first crack at opening and Compton is at three. Stokes cemented in at six. Looks like all 17 squad members will take the field during this game.

Seventeen as Finn has been added. I think he's out until the second Test though.

I read the second game would be FC, so 11v11.

Cook out for 2. Though judging by the cricinfo coverage of the UAE warm ups, it could be anyone.

I wonder what the strength of the opposition bowling is, the opening pair are medium paced.

Hales out, though maybe he'll come in and bat again later in the innings.

The weather looks perfect for cricket, 24 degrees, cloudless sky.

Junior Dala is a bit quicker than medium pace. Impressive in the Ram Slam.

Compton showing how test cricket is played, spend time getting in then an acceleration.

Perhaps an indication that Ballance isn't going to play on Boxing Day.
