This is becoming rather tiresome, and actually rather nasty to be honest.

not really Stokes' fault IMO. Sussex is right about pointing out who Stokes bowled death overs too earlier in the tournament when he did ok, but I was surprised they were bowling him at the death at all - Stokes will get wickets but he strikes me as someone who will always go for a few runs in any format

having said that - the same result could have happened with another bowler, remember what Yuvi did to Broad? Stokes will still go on to be an important all-round player for Eng

We didn't win the thing but nice to see a fair few of our players recognized.

Perhaps Mark Wood best summed it up "You've got to play hard on the field but be humble and gracious off it. Instead of talking about Marlon’s great innings,we're talking about his stupid comments after the game".

Well done Carlos Braithwaite, a bit of humility after the storm. Good on him.

So, the only team that beat the World Champions was Afghanistan. Does that make them Champions of the Universe?

Commendable and probably prompted by the fact that Carlos' brother, Ruel, was a teammate of Ben at Durham.

Indeed. Marlon Samuels should maybe follow Mark Wood's lead and make more video diaries that display bullying on smaller team-mates while laughing at them and forcing them to perform like circus monkey's....

Mark Wood is clearly the biggest moron in the team based on his off field media performances, so he maybe shouldn't say anything.

Others may accept it as light- hearted banter. I suspect his team mates do. Again Sussex you’re making personal attacks on people you don't know. Are you aware of the past demeanours of Marlon Samuels?

It was a good WC, save the lack of inclusiveness to emerging nations, the dew factor, the overwhelming importance of the toss, farcical ticketing issues, and idiotic tv commentary. But T20 does lend itself to a good WC. At international level, T20 doesn't really have another vehicle that works. Because it was a good WC, there has been an explosion of opinion that this will take over as the pre-eminent form of the game. That could only be feasible if cricket had football like universality and set itself up into FIFA type competitions. With a top eight/ten/whatever, there is no hope for T20 as the principal form of the game. A summer of T20s between two or three nations would disappear into a void of insignificance.

I've got a hunch there will be another WCT20 in two years time.
