I see Denesh Ramdin has taken to twiiter, to express his dissapointment of being left out..He should have been left out ages ago, however in his last two test innings in OZ, he made half centuries, when rest of the line up struggled, and didn't disgrace himself in the tri-series, so perhaps a right to feel slightly aggrieved, as he possibly should have been left out ages ago

Here's the story....

The question is this...will Shane Dowrich be an improvement?

An inept bowling performance by the West Indies second eleven...the touring Indians scored 258-6, with the top three batsmen retiring out after getting starts. The spinners took three wickets between them, while the pacers went wicketless. Rohit Sharma hit 54 not out....

And the two-day match ended in an expected draw, but only after Shai Hope hit 118 not out, supported by a 69 from opener Raj Chandrika. Tail-ender Jomel Warrican made 50 not out, but there was not much else from the other batsmen. Leg-spinner Amit Mishra took 4-67...a sign of things to come?

"Fast bowler Jerome Taylor also did not feature in the 12-man squad. Taylor, 32, who had played 46 Tests for West Indies since debuting in 2003, had informed the board that he is retiring from the longest format, the WICB said in a release. He will continue to be available in the shorter formats."

Roach and Warrican dropped, along with Ramdin and Shai.

"Barbados fast bowler Miguel Cummins has been included in West Indies' squad for the first Test against India in Antigua from July 21. He was a replacement for Jerome Taylor, who retired from Test cricket earlier this week."

If Holder and Carlos play, then we have to play five bowlers...both of them together don't make one bowler.

1) Kraigg Brathwaite
2) Raj Chandrika/Leon Johnson
3) Darren Bravo
4) Marlon Samuels
5) Jermaine Blackwood/Roston Chase
6) Shane Dowrich (wk)
7) Jason Holder
8) Carlos Brathwaite
9) Dev Bishoo
10) Shannon Gabriel
11) Miguel Cummins

So, what can we get excited about with the drawn three-day game? A fat, immobile Rahkeem Cornwall being the only bowler with any success, taking 5-118.

Trailing by 184, the President's XI were limping along at 223-6 when the third day's play ended...
Thank God it wasn't a four-day game....
8-)
Jermaine Blackwood made 51, and there were 30s from Montcin Hodge, Vishaul Singh, and John Campbell. Not a lot to get excited about.

Cricinfo has Saha at 6 and binny/jadeja at 7

Not a long batting line up for India then, early wickets for the West indies could make it interesting
