Coming to the conclusion that none of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan or Bhuvneshwar Kumar are of Test standard.

Still stick by my Dhawan one though....with Vijay back and Rahul doing well he is dead meat.

I've always been a bit of a bhuvi fan - wanted him in the team a few years back - but his lack of pace was a concern for tests once you get past the new ball. He has since put on pace though so he has addressed that issue. He could also become a very useful lower order batsman - so overall very imporrtant for Ind away from home.

hopefully Sandeep Sharma joins him, a potential prospect if he can add a bit of pace in his bowling.

To fully rescind my opinions from earlier in the week; I feel that this would have been a draw if it wasn't for Kumar.

My reactionary views on bowlers can be turned round though. Hope for Woakes and Boult.

TBH Rishi dhawan was quite poor in australia and isn't really the man for india either.
wouldn't get angry on the squad since BCCI said the squad will be similar to the wi squad because of visa and air miles issues.

IE they didn't want to send players to america for a few days.


just think the games as a few friendlies in america after the Test matches.

Rishi may give the odd good performance in international level like Binny, but his bowling and batting as well still needs to be worked upon a lot to succeed at international level. As an alternative to Binny, yes he deserves a spot. However, i have watched his bowling in domestic tournaments telecast but he is not that good yet. Bhuvi is way better combined batsman and bowler than both Binny and Rishi at international level at this point of time. The worry is that in pace bowlers all rounder slot we have nobody better than Rishi and Binny. imo rather than playing medium pace bowling allrounders it is better we play a specialist.
