Warner goes but maxwell motors on to a quickfire 50.
:clap
He should have been opening the batting a long time ago. He reminds me of Johnson Charles and dwayne Smith.

Khawaja out for a quickfire 36.

Maxwell gets his century off just 49 balls!
:clap :clap
Sri Lanka have been terrible in the field bowling full tosses and dropping catches.

Not sure Australia made that many in any of the fifty over games.

So that is what happens when Australia bats first :salute

Still lost the toss though, 8 out of 9 times on this tour. Must be getting close to a record

Australia have only had to in one game (which they lost), more a statistic about batting second most of the time. Still rather we won the test series though.

That's fine in T20. I'd rather have a Maxwell than a consistent scorer who is unable to score a 145 at that pace.

yeah i guess it's fine in t20's, but i've seen posts and comments elsewhere that say he should be in the test side etc, and IMO he should be nowhere near test cricekt

No, he doesn't strike me as a test player. has he been dropped from the one day side?

Would agree, though i fear Australia have not given up the idea of trying to squeeze him into the team when they tour India next year. They have a history of doing this with players like Maxwell and White.

Maxwell can be a t20s specialist. Nothing wrong with that. It is the most popular format with fans around the world.
