Postby Aidan11 » Thu Jul 28, 2016 1:21 pm

Zimbabwe won the toss and are 120/8 at tea.

Wagner 5/31.

The length of this test will depend on how long NZ fancy batting.

Wagner ends with 6 wickets.

No alarms for NZ before the close. Probably get 600 tomorrow.

Congrats to Mike Gough who is standing in his first test. I was talking to his father the other day and he was very much looking forward to it.

Is Boult done for or is he still psychologically reeling from having his pants pulled down by Australia?

nope just needs to learn that he needs more skills to take wickets in flat wickets, quite easy to score and less threatening when the ball doesn't move hasn't got the skill yet to bowl back of the length deliveries that Anderson does really well.

In general NZ attack quite poor when the ball doesn't move and would probably struggle in NZ as well now Southee/Boult/Bracewell/Milne and the others needs to get into the next level and still be a wicket taking threat when the ball doesn't swing or seam.

Boult/Southee was actually good during the 2012-2014 in taking wicket but probably playing too much cricket as caused both of them to lose pace or something and now both are struggling to be the same bowlers.

More of a noughties phenomenon. BD and Zim hardly play Tests now.

yep although probably going to change a bit BD been promised quite a few games recently for their vote in the Big 3 which needs to be fulfilled and guessing they will get more fixture again if ICC needs their vote for the two divisions.

Although difference is bangladesh are no mugs anymore, doubt many would average high 80 against them in a big sample size now.
Really think teams like england, NZ, Australia would struggle against BD in BD.

Zimbabwe on the other hand shouldn't even be playing test cricket.
