No rain according to the weather forecasts. Even if there is rain, NZ should still win in 4 days.

I thought it may be prudent to compare the averages of the top six (minus Nicholls) if you remove teams that offer a run buffet. I consider these teams to be Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka West Indies and Bangladesh.

First the total averages:

Guptil: 30.05
Latham: 39.91
Williamson: 49.73
Taylor: 47
Watling: 38.87
Average average: 41.11

Now with duff teams removed:

Guptil: 17.95
Latham: 36
Williamson 36.3
Taylor: 40.84
Watling: 20.44
Average average: 30.31

You don't need me to tell you that there are two players there who are hugely feasting on weak teams and shying away when the big boys come to town. Overall it seems that New Zealand are unmerciful for the smaller teams but, some of them, are less effective when the chips are down.

Good post 365. Unfortunately the big sides don't play a lot of cricket against NZ though, and maybe the stats against them become less reliable because of the fewer games. and of course all players do better against poorer teams. With Williamson, I think the big difference is his relatively poor early career, he's done ok against everyone more recently. Taylor of course made a big double against Australia recently, but is inconsistent. BMcC has gone. The quality of NZ's batting is quite uncertain at the moment.
I always say that everybody's right.
