I can't even say it's the tests that count as we didn't win that series either.

Rashid has an excellent googly

Shame buttler and bairstow are inept behind the stumps

A poor performance, but it is always going to happen sooner or later especially in the 20 over format.

We have an excellent keeper carrying the drinks though...

IMO Foakes is an excellent keeper-batsman, but i worry that he and Billings will never get a look in- as Bayliss loves Buttler, the fact that he considers playing Jos purely as a batsman in test cricket worries me somewhat, if any keeper should play as a batsman alone, it should be Foakes or Billings..

MY ODI SERIES RATINGS

JUST ODI'S NOT T20

ENGLAND

Jason Roy - 7 - 181 runs at 36
Alex Hales - 8 - 223 runs in the series, but only one big score, but what a score it was!
Joe Root - 10 - 274 runs at 54, 3 half centuires, and could well be skipper in Bangladesh if Morgan dosen't go
Eoin Morgan - 8 - 179 runs at 35, 2 half centuries and captained well
Ben Stokes - 9 - 201 runs in 4 innings at 50, batted really well, and is fit and bowling again
Jos Buttler - 8 - just the 2 innings, but included a wonderful 90
Moeen - 6 - just the 3 wickets in the series, place surely under pressure, but will go to Bangladesh and India
Chris Woakes - 10 - 9 wickets at 19,england's player of the summer
Mark Wood - 8 - wickets, pace, hostility, he's back
Adil rashid - 9 - wickets as always, has a fantastic googly, for me england's no1 spinner now
Liam Plunkett - 8 - pace and wickets
Jonny Bairstow - 7 - played well when called upon
David Willey - 4 - wicketless in his two games, but as always swings the white ball
Chris Jordan - 5- too one dimensional, can't just be a yorker bowler..batting has gone backwards as well
Liam Dawson- 5- will be sweating over his place on the winter tours

Pakistan

Azhar Ali - 8 - 208 runs at 41, including 2 half cenrturies
Sharjeel Khan - 4 - 100 runs at 20, 1 50, but didnt get going
Mohammed Hafeez - 3 - Had a tour to forget
Babar Azam - 4 - no score above 40, and gave his wicket away on regular occasion
Sarfraz Ahmed - 10 - 297 runs at 60, class act with bat and gloves, PLAYER OF THE SERIES
Shoaib Malik - 6-1 50, but wicketless and expensive with the ball
Nawaz - 3 - terrible series with bat and ball
Wasim - 9 - solid all round cricketer, great find for Pakistan
Mohammed Amir - 5 - 4 wickets at 48, and struggled
Umar Gul - 4 - surely finished at international level
Wahab - 2 - 1 wicket and got spanked everytime he played
Sami Aslam - 3 - he's good test match player, but shouldn;'t be near the odi side
Hasan Ali - 9 - 8 wickrts at 29, was impressive
Yasir Shah - 1- wicketless and got spanked to all parts, can;t quite take his test form into odi cricket
MOhammed Rizwan - 4 -
Mohammed Irfan - 6 - bowled well, but his fitness is a joke

Willey had the best econ for a seamer on either side, and by a long way. And Moeen had the second best economy for a spinner after Imad, and second best for his team behind Willey. Both were pretty good with the ball, and Mo had a return to form with the bat too- 66 runs in two innings without getting out.
