that is harsh really since England tried their best, not really the players fault if they are out of their debt in the conditions.
did people really expect an 2-0 win when their don't have the bowling or batting resources to compete consistently over 5 days.
Well i am also one of those who thought England will not lose a test here. England really played badly. 10 wickets in one session is not bit too much but lot too much.
The thing is they did all the hard work to get to 100 for 0, the shambolic then applies to what happened after that. Someone mentioned us skittling the Aussies, but that was pretty much from ball one. This was probably worse in that the openers had put in the hard yards and set the innings up. We certainly top the rankings at fourth innings capitulations if nothing else.

What's the common denominator? Stokes. ...
Good to see him fined 15% of his match fee. The abuse he constantly dishes out to batsmen is tiresome. The thing is he can dish it out but he can't take it. When Samuels replied to him with a few choice words poor Ben moaned in his autobiography that marlon had no respect. Stokes is one of the most unlikeable cricketers I have ever watched.

England treated this series as preparation, and maybe that's what they got out of it. And now they have discovered not to pick Finn or Ballance.

yes they had a good start, although mostly because of poor bowling, when ban got it in the right area scoring runs or surviving would be tricky especially when root and Cook were dismissed.

You keep imposing these assertions on what England fans are thinking. As noted elsewhere, numerous times I might add, England fans are all too aware of their weaknesses as a side. I think most wouldn't have expected us to collapse into a heap, but most of us have long enough memories to know it could happen.

Did you read the comment above, since that post was in response to someone calling the display pathetic.
not really sure what people expected from england in a series where they have no spinners and most batsman not capable of playing spin.
1-1 is a fair result and if anything england were lucky to get a win.
