Why is Tharanga not a fixture in this team. He has only played 14 innings since the start of 2014 but has impressed in those with an average of 42.4. It's not like Sri Lanka are in a position to ignore such stats.

rather suprisingly he has been named as captain for the odi tri-series that follows the tests..

Some pretty decent batting in this series. Karunaratne was good in first Test and today Da Silva and Gunaratne obviously impressed but Ervine and Chari weren't slouching either.

Still very impressed with Chari. Needs a few tweaks to batting but looks solid.
