interesting stat on the subject of the toss just mentioned by the NZ commentators

this is the 20th test in a row in NZ where the winners of the toss have chosen to bowl first

williamson unlucky there to have that over-turned i thought

there was a noise but nothing on hotspot and snicko suggested the noise was after the ball had passed the bat i thought

It's interesting as new zealand pitches can look very green but actually be quite flat

This one does seem to be moving a decent amount though

One of the harder decisions I've seen a third umpire have to make.

Not surprising since the games I have seen in NZ have generally helped the bowlers so much on the first session or first day and then do nothing for the rest of the week.
india last tour was pretty much like that same with England last tour to nz.
Think Sanga and Willamson hit double hundreds as well after a low first day.
Last time india went all the pitches were green on day 1 but very hard to take wickets on day 3 or 5.
Think india were leading by 100 odd runs with NZ only having 5 wickets remaining in the game and they still drew the game easily.
the game earlier india nearly chased a world record total.

They're out in the middle. Taylor has a crazy strike rate.

Taylor gone, might be his last test for a while, having eye surgery or doing something to his eye.

Think NZ still in a decent position.
250-300 will be a good total.
be interesting to see if Pak bat better this time, were awful last game, they got no excuses now for getting the best batting condition and best bowling conditions.
