Wade paid the price for jumping the gun on his backing up no chance to reclaim his ground. Seemed close to tears leaving the ground.

edit: Marsh of course.

Seems Smith has reserved all the good luck for Australia today...pretty unfortunate for Mitch 2. Wasn't much he could have done about that.

A bit of pressure on Smith now . Not an unfamiliar feeling recently , I imagine :)

Australia will be delighted to reach 240 the way this games going. It may even be enough.

Why is it that every horizontal bat shot outside off called a cut shot? Surely when the ball is hit front of square it's not cut but driven.

This is like the last ten overs used to be. We used to call these the middle overs. Binary batting. Wickets in hand.

NZ bowlers seem to have shot their Boult. Travis Head has made NZ suffer for the Henry drop.

This 1000 run total in 2016 took 24 games, if others below him on the list played that many games Smith efforts would look rather modest.

100 up for smith

if anyone had told me that the guy i first saw playing against england 6 years ago would be putting up the sort of numbers with the bat, in all three formats, that he is now i would have thought they were insane
