I remember about 15 years abck, Aus and NZ agreed that they would play a ODI series every year.

I reckon Australia must have disremembered, cause I don't think that NZ would've.

Maxwell seems to be getting a lot of press lately.

Seems to be trying to place himself into the test team for India next year.

Still not sure he is a starter for the one day team let alone getting close to adding to his test tally.

I'm a bit surprised that a game isn't being played in Brisbane, especially with the large number of Kiwis living there. Not surprised that there is a game in Melbourne. The SE suburbs is Kiwi central, and their impact is beginning to show... eh, bro!

He's copped a bit of flak for his coments on Wade's place in the Vic batting order - both Chuck Berry and Lehmann have politely told him to pipe down. Well maybe Berry wasn't that ploite, saying something like "this is all a bit 'Me, Me, Me' isn't it?".

Has it got something with him wanting to move to NSW? Is he trying to annoy the Victorian team to make sure he gets a move away? Obviously once he starts playing for NSW he will get to wear the baggy green again.

It is not a good look for him though. And it can not help going into a series for Australia. Seems like it might bring a bit of state animosity into the national team.

Worth noting that the Victorian team has White batting at 7. I would say White is a better batsman than Maxwell, so he just needs to remember that when complaining about batting positions.

funnily enough, White's name was one of those being bandied about in the lead up to the last test team selection - as his batting has been so good lately (apparently).

NSW for Maxwell? No thanks!
