Just acclimatisation, but it feels like a proper match. A tour match, like they once were, rather than a warm-up.

England favorites now due to this Sam - Dawson partnership.

Looking at the India lineup for this match there are 3 first choice players (Shikhar, Dhoni, Hardik). Then the remaining are backup players for first choice or in actual India A players category.

But the home players are acclimatised and England are finding their legs. Not a bad batting display by England, given familiar frailties. But, it'll be a big step up in the ODIs.

Sam has played few T20 in IPL 2016 for Delhi Daredevils. He did good enough. Jason Roy also played in Bangladesh Premeire league in 2013. Jos played for Mumbai in last IPL as well and was good. So has Moeen in Bangladesh Premeire league for two seasons including 2013. Morgan has good IPL experience as well. Alex is also a part of Mumbai Indians since last year. So these new look English players have experience of subcontinental conditions more than the previous generation of English players.

No doubt England have played well. At least they did not get totally choked by spin attack . Remember Ian Chapel was frustrated when Kuldeep Yadav was not selected in Indian playing 11 just after Indian won U-19 cup. Yuzi too is not a run leaker. So there are positives from this competitive warm up match for England.

from the cricinfo text commentary it sounds like billings has been robbed of the chance for a 100, hopefully we will manage to fall over the line

Does at least suggest that this experience may have been worthwhile.

Could do with some bowlers getting a chance. Not likely in IPL though. Apart from Ben.

Ben would be surely picked by some team when his name comes during IPL auction next month. Ben is the sort of allrounder that even India international team lacks. A pace bowling all rounder, so he is a sure buy imo even though he will be available at high reserve price. Not sure which franchisee has maximum capital left for auctions. I was glad when we bought Alex and Jos. Would like to see Ben in Mumbai Indians as Corey is getting injured frequently and he has been released by Mumbai Indians and Pollard's bowling has declined as well. Corey being released will ensure lot of capital is freed up as he was one of the most costliest buy.

Dinda and Vinay bowling together at the Brabourne Stadium. :scared Think England will score 300+ if they bowl their usual stuff. By no ways England batters should give Vinay and Dinda few wickets as those wickets may boost their chances for ODI squad. Second match should be relatively very easy for Englands batting innings in next warmup.

Probably bring in Stokes for the next game. Don't know if Root is out there yet. Maybe Bairstow will get a game.

Don't really get the hate for Vinay kumar a good domestic bowler, he was never in contention for the odi team even if he does well in the warm up game.

Kuldeep was very impressive. Bowling spin in second innings in D/N match is tough and he still picked 5 for. Add to it one catch was dropped off his bowling as well. Created lot of chances today which is nice to see.

Not sure any of the England bowlers have much of an international reputation. Maybe Anderson might get a gig at the bargain end of the scale?

Never said he was international quality don't get the hate for the guy.
Don't really like the way Indian fans treat fast bowlers especially someone taking 400 odd wickets in first class cricket and one of the best seam bowlers in India domestic circles.
Should get the same respect the likes of chapple or county stalwarts should get.
