Lack of quality spin continues to plague England's team in India and add to that the batsmens struggle against spin.

i just dont see who we have atm that morgan could throw the ball to, set a defensive field and ask to get a few tight overs to build some pressure
one of the reasons i think we need to be chasing to have any chance as i haven't got alot of confidence that our bowlers can defend a target

With it being an early game, there shouldn't be any dew issues, so no excuses.

Thrashed by India A. And to think i thought we'd have a chance of winning this series...

Doesn't really mean that much. But even so, it's a tough ask.

bit of a worry when you use 7 bowlers, none of them part-timers and not a single one is able to keep their economy rate under a run a ball
i agree AC that in real terms it might not mean alot, warmup games are more about shaking off any rust, but its still a worrying sign

England's bowlers (or even, bowlers full stop) haven't had that ability for a while. I'd be surprised if any of the England bowlers apart from Moeen, go at less than a run a ball. It's down to the batters to match what other teams can do.

Doing them a disservice actually. only CJ goes at more than a run a ball.

Though their econs are pretty standard (games between top nine sides). I wouldn't include Narine as he's a ban waiting to happen. Mitch and haze stand out, otherwise England's economy is the same as everyone else's. Though Rashid is expensive for a spinner (takes wickets though.

England's problem is they don't take enough wickets. There's no one here in the top half of the SRs.

dont know if this is backed up by stats i just dont feel we have a bowler in ODI cricket that can win a game for you in the same way we have 3 or 4 batsmen that can
our bowling just feels like its a case of damage limitation and hope we can out-score the opposition
kinda like the old school brazil football team, dont care how many we concede we'll back ourselves to score more than the opponents do

I think Ball is a better white ball bowler than Woakes but Woakes is in for his runs as well.
Wickets taken Batsmen 1-3
Woakes 39.7%
Willey 58.6%
No one better than Vaas at getting out the top order 60.3%, so Willey has an outstanding record so far.

I suspect they're disappearing from the game. Starc maybe is the last. Possibly Tahir at the back end of the innings.

Not sure Ball has played enough to know, yet.
Home and away too, England's bowlers should be a bit more potent in the first 6-7 overs at home.

i do really rate willey as a new ball bowler in limited over cricket, its after those first 10-15 overs we dont seem to be able to control the game or capitalise on taking early wickets
again i dont know if stats back this up but just seems to be alot of occasions where we get teams 3 or 4 down but cant finish them off and still end up conceding challenging totals
