cant see rashid playing, morgan looked scared to bowl him and cant have someone in the XI the captain has no confidence in
expect dawson will play and see if he can have more success keeping it tight

I didn't stay up for the later stages but I am wondering if there was anything Morgan could have done differently ? At one stage it was about run a ball required and from the replays (notably a Moeen over that yielded six safe singles ) that I watched there didn't seem to be many fielders set to prevent the single : surely (given your opponents are not silly ) the only way you can hope to win in such circumstances is to restrict
singles and force them to go over the top ? (The way this match went that would probably have resulted in India winning a couple of overs earlier ; but I'd have thought even a minuscule chance of forcing an error was preferable to an inevitable - if more drawn out - defeat ? )
Obviously different if there is something there for the bowlers ; but there didn't appear to be last night.

Now it feels that the batters have to win the matches for England by ensuring they post a good target to ensure bowlers have enough cushion to defeat a total.
