India likely to play same team. Kedar may miss out if he has not recovered from cramps or hamstring.

Expect changes in Englands bowling attack as they could not defend a very good total.

From what I saw of the game 350 was a par score on a rather small ground, Moran's post match comments seems he feels the same way.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

350 is nowadays chaseable, however it is a score which adds pressure on chasing team even though the conditions are batting friendly. England bowlers did exploit it with 4 wickets below 75. Joe given overs when wickets were required is not a good probability move imo.

All Indian grounds are small with boundaries ranging from 62 to 68.

I know it's not gonna happen, but its what i would do..

Wouldnt drop Ball, IMO he has been under-used this winter, and wouldnt drop Rashid, yeah he had a bad game, but he had a pretty good year in odi's in 2016, so i would stick with him

i wouldn't drop rashid either but as i said in the other thread there must be a concern over morgan's unwillingness to bowl him after he got whacked around a bit in his first couple of overs the other day

gonna be so much pressure on rashid if he plays on thursday and if he gets tonked around again when he first comes on to bowl then it leaves morgan in a really difficult position

You can't pick a side though based on whether they are going to get tonked or not though, otherwise no one would get selected...pick him, back him, and throw him in, he's been tonked before and he will be again, all bowlers do, and legspinners defintiely do

I think the fact that it was a tiny ground with short boundaries did not favour a leg spinner of Rashid's ability and even Ashwin was ineffective so on a bigger ground with longer boundaries I;d definitely play him.

Rashid has performed well all year baring this game, he just had one of the most successful Test series of any spinner to India and people are calling for his head?

Sometimes I genuinely do not understand people's comments on here.

if you read the comments i have made you will see i haven't called for his head

i have suggested that given morgan's reluctance to bowl him at the weekend that they might consider replacing him

but i thought i quite clearly stated i wouldn't drop him

if you are going to have a pop at people for their comments at least try to read them properly

Arf! Sorry!

Might be a case for giving some squad players a game? Give everyone at least two games. I think Billings could do with some game time.

So that's Bairstow, Billings, Dawson and Plunkett.
I always say that everybody's right.
