Crazy not to bowl rashid here considering I think the pitch will suit him.
be crazy if they bowl 4 overs of Mills and Jordan and not bowl rashid on a slowish deck.

we keep getting told how much rashid is someone who is best when he is confident, not going to be doing his confidence much good when he gets picked and then either not bowled at all or at best given a token over as a 6th bowler

At 103/5 I'm not too bothered that Rashid hasn't bowled yet...

Though I admit it is odd. Have to say Moeen has done a great job.

Wasn't long ago he had a brilliant series in Bangladesh

Maybe that was because morgan wasn't captain

Feel odd since morgan liked Rashid before and was the reason why he was the most successful english bowler last year in ODI.
very baffling not to bowl rashid here.

Although credit needs to be given to the bowlers all of them have bowled the right pace, lines and cutters that been very hard to hit in this pitch.
if one of the bowlers got whacked chances are Rashid would have bowled earlier though.

i know i am repeating myself but there must be something going on behind the scenes, there is no cricket reason for treating rashid the way they are

first we had cook using him in a very strange manner in the tests, then he bowls a couple of bad overs in the first ODI, is then basically snubbed by morgan until the last few overs when the game is basically over, and then dropped for the last 2 ODIs

here we have him recalled today but looks like he isn't going to bowl

given how effective he has looked overall, expecially in limited overs, over the last year or so it doesn't make sense

Wouldn't surprise me that considering England over the years haven't had the greatest record at handling players with different mental or confidence needs.
Although got the impression morgan was different maybe he wasn't after all.
very baffling if true considering wasn't it morgan that wanted Rashid in the White ball team in the first place.
Remember him making the case he will be expensive but can take wickets in the middle overs.
Remember him being first choice spinner in white ball cricket over Ali.
very odd for him to lose that tag this winter.
