There's probably still a decent Zimbabwe team out there.

Sean Erivne, Murray Goodwin would be another two.

He retired a couple of years ago, still probably better than some of the current side even in his mid forties.

What they also lose is a community of former players who might be able to help on a coaching and scouting level.

Scouting is probably out of it now, not even sure Zimbabwe kids would play much cricket these days and hard to see where the future talent will be coming from.
only a matter of time till Zimbabwe kicked out of Full membership.
Suspect more kids play cricket in Afghanistan, Nepal, Netherlands, USA, Germany etc, actually wouldn't surprise me if most associate nations have a better cricketing set up than Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe looks a dead cause really since they haven't even really got a grassroots system running well now and reckon most associates are better at them in making or keeping/maintaining the talent they do have.
Wouldn't surprise me if they finish when BCCI don't need them anymore.

Zimbabwe won't be kicked out, if it was going to happen it already would have when for example they actually stopped being a ranked side for a while. The BCCI have a soft vote, Zimbabwe have played that smart.

yeah unlikely to be kicked out but reckon money will be gone though.
probably keep the vote but lose the money.
will have to happen if they are keen on Ireland and Afghanistan and other associates to get more money and the other full members want a bigger pie.

Zimbabwe is an interesting case considering all the boards are annoyed at them and most would vote to remove them if they wanted to but like you say india gets a free vote which keeps them save at the moment, hard to see them leaving while BCCI is battling ICC on some issues, but if a situation arises where BCCI don't need Zimbabwe vote anymore, they could easily be gone.

few mentions already that in the future Members could be removed and added more easily and most of it was hints that if Zimbabwe don't fix up they will be gone, only BCCI is saving them at the moment and even that might not last in the future if they can't even perform to a decent level and BCCI don't need them anymore for the vote.

Keep them as a full member or they'll just fall away even further. Need to expand the game by giving the lower ranked teams more chances, not just kicking them out.

Without the money Zimbabwe may not have the means or the motivation to carry on. I don't know how much enthusiasm there is left for the game there, but I wonder if the game is only surviving to make sure the money keeps coming.

Kenya is very surprising and Sad surprised they haven't pushed on but wonder if the blame goes to ICC than the board although do have family members saying that politics there is just as bad compared to Zimbabwe.
Got loads of family in Kenya and seeing the leagues and potential cricketers they have it is quite surprising they didn't push on after 2003, issue is that in kenya people can pay to get selected or get higher chances well that is what family member at kenya say.

Never expected them to be in Div 2 at the moment, especially considering my Cousin, son goes to a private school in Kenya and recently goes to England every summer from his School cricket team to play matches in England, think he went lords as well from his school.
They actually quite good at cricket find it hard to believe from where kenya were in 2003 for them to struggle in 2017 especially when they actually got a decent grassroots setup at the time and potential cricket base.
The indian community there even have Cricket leagues, Clubs everything set up and the few private schools also play a lot of cricket and even the local kids would have been able to play cricket considering getting to the semis and seeing tikolo and other really good black players playing well would have been massive for the game in kenya.
