153.

Could have been worse :)

Not sure how much it helps for CT selection but TRJ has put up a bit of a marker for future consideration : let us see if he can follow up with the ball.

When did England last field a chap called Toby ?

TRJ is a strange selection given he is 29. Not exactly one for the future...

That's how I felt when they were selecting Mark Footitt but he seems to be off the radar now.

I didn't realize he was as old as that ! Still it leaves two or three years potentially I guess so he might yet be an option leading into the next World Cup. As the current bowlers (apart from the all rounders) are probably not yet nailed on it makes sense to have a look at the alternatives.

Agree though he is less likely to feature than younger men - Curran , for example. Recent form and availability probably big factors in this call up.

any chance Willey had of forcing his way in to the XI probably gone after those 3 overs today

he should probably be careful walking down stairs the next couple of days if any of the selectors or management are behind him

I missed most of the game due to work, anyone watching this morning, was it poor batting, excellent bowling, crucial toss, or just one of those freak mornings?

These sort of days happen every so often, not ideal a few days out from the start of an international tournament, but no real reason to panic either.

Having seen the highlights, I have to say that YJB did so well, and under immense pressure too both with the match situation and also his place in the side

I'd have him in place of Buttler for the CT. Buttles has been scratching around for a bit of form all year and it isn't as if his glovework is good enough to compensate. In a short tournament you need the man in form playing, and that is YJB atm

Stokes would like to see more England players playing IPL, and that's fine for him because he was playing every game, but it hasn't done Roy and Buttler any favours... sitting on their arses ahead of a major tournament

Priceless. Boycott describes Parnell 'rubbish' just before he takes two wickets in two overs.

TBH buttler played most of the mumbai games.
Roy also struggled for Surrey when he returned.
