I like this Pakistan side which keeps on losing in ODI eventually to be ranked 8th . :thumb

I'm liking AC's optimism, which I presume is both tongue in cheek and also a two fingered salute to the England hype before the tournament started. A salute I'm happy to join in with. It's just a pity that we usually get the result our media deserves.... in every sport

Wish I shared AC's optimism, whether it is in jest or not. As many have said, you never know which Pakistan will turn up. England should comfortably beat the Pakistan that turned up against India, or Sri Lanka for that matter (it was hardly a flawless performance - a shocking drop from Sri Lanka let Pakistan off the hook). But you know that they're always capable of that one unplayable spell of bowling that can win you the game. And it's ODI cricket knockouts - anything can happen.

England should be strong favourites, but that won't stop me watching from the usual Doctor Who viewing position :hide

I do fancy England to win though, most of us will.

From a neutrals point of view, England have to be strong favourites here.

bairstow lucky to survive the first over

get the feeling if that had been Roy it would have been given out onfield and the umpires call would have gone against him instead of saving him

bairstow gone, decent enough innings but just started to get bogged down against the spinners

80-2, could have been worse but pakistan have been sloppy in the field again
