Urg. We're not even going to make it to tea. Predictable, but depressing nonetheless.

The Aussies might not even have a team

They will. There's too much at stake for the Ashes not to go ahead. And besides, I reckon even Australia second XI would have a got shot of beating England at home.

And Wood has been pretty ineffective.

Woakes fit for the third test?

I've barely followed the game since England were all out on day two. Result totally inevitable just a case of going through the motions.

SA will take solace in the fact that at least their bowlers were able to make inroads into our batting in the second innings at Lord's.

That was a big wicket for Morris.
:salute
He's clearly in pole position to stay, when Rabada returns. Olivier hasn't done much in this Test.

reports are Woakes wont be considered for this series as there is no FC cricket for him to play in to prove his fitness

i think Wood has bowled better than his figures tbh and was also pretty pleased with how Stokes bowled yesterday

Wood doesn't seem to get enough movement to be a wicket taker in test cricket

Wood has shown glimpses. Like I said before, he looks like Finn post 2013. Either not fully fit or not fully confident, certainly holding back.

Apparently wood is out for the next test with a heal injury. It would explain his lacklustre effort here, but one does have to ask why he looked under cooked from ball one, he was put in for this test

Hopefully Wood didn't go into this game with that injury. If he has had to change how he lands his front foot, then that's a big disadvantage for a bowler they want to operate with unrestrained pace.
I always say that everybody's right.

Maybe he wasn't allowed to say he was injured. During flower time players were scared to say they were injured.
