At least everyone got a bit of a hit and they put an ok score on the board against the league leaders.

Bear in mind though Arthur that our bowling attack was a 2nd string one... Porter, Harmer etc rested

Geez, that's a green West Indies line-up. I haven't even heard of half of them.

Arguably the weakest West Indies team to tour England...most of the senior players have chosen to make themselves available to play in the CPL instead, which starts on Friday.

Kraigg, Blackwood and Chase got half-centuries, which is a good for your first knock in England against an admittedly green bowling attack. Of far more concern is the fact that the issue of Kraigg's opening partner still hasn't been resolved. Powell and the Hope brothers failed to get going against even this inexperienced bowling line up.

Stumps 309-8...let's see how the bowlers perform.

West Indians 338-8 declared

Dowrich 44*
Roach 12*

Though maybe not given England's reputation v spin and Bishoo being one of WI better bowlers.
