For me Root is no issue in the top order. He as contributed over 100 runs to england in this test match. With out his runs in this series England might well have been in trouble.

SA get that special buzz that comes from getting Gentle Ben out, for the last time in the series (Stokes ends on 37.4, a bit disappointing to dip below 40).

Smith/Gibbs/Amla/Kallis/ABDV/Prince/Boucher/Pollock might chase 300+ here. Not backing the present team to do it though.

Almost at a significant psychological barrier, the 300 lead.

How many catches have gone down in this game? Must be well into double figures, alot of tough ones mind.

Bairstow goes for 10 (41.3). The third innings is ending rather quickly and the game speeding up as it progresses, and only on day three. Bad batting, great bowling or disappointing pitch?

Not watched any of the game. Has there been much movement in the air?

Certainly variable bounce, according to cricinfo. From previous days, mostly seam movement, but reverse swing at times.

Mo dropped just now.

A little, but only during the first couple of overs of the new ball.

Everything has been movement of the pitch, but a inconsistent bounce.

If England bowl the way they did in the first innings, then easily enough.

The cricinfo commentary says it's gloomy at the ground right now and raining in the area. Forecast is ok tomorrow, poor on Tuesday.

Tomorrow looks okish, but Tuesday is very dodgy.
