I agree, with the bat he is playing well, played some well grounded out knocks on tricky wickets, good to see

Third most runs in the series, plus seven wickets.

Looks a good day for SA, given England elected to bat.

Mo should have come in at eight. He doesn't want to bat in the tail, and now he's coming in at nine.

I like a nightwatchman even this far down, I mean I don't know what the stats are, but I would think your average nightwatchman ends up scoring more runs up the order than he would do at his normal position and they are often bonus runs.

Fair enough Ali will be short of partners, but he will probably get a stint with Bairstow, and then if he isn't next out, he can have a thrash with Broad and Anderson.

Cheers umpire, barely hitting in line.

How can you give that out, the man's on 99 for Christ's sake. I'd be having a quiet word in his ear.

Pretty awful decision from the umpire to give bairstow out

Only the outside milimetre of the ball was in line

It just didnt look out at all

That decision has effected Bairstow's keeping, two shocking efforts off the first two balls.

Wicket off the third!

Emphatically England's session :salute

Quick hundred added by the last four wickets - aided by poor tactics by Du Plessis with that negative approach to the last wicket. Johnny Bairstow take a bow : brilliant exhibition of batting with the tail - dead unlucky to miss his century on a marginal lbw but in truth it was a poor shot.

And Jimmy gains the important early wicket of Elgar : I call that a 99% session...
