Wasn't robson loose outside off.
Remember shami and bk gobbling him up although he did mostly get 20-30 starts.
Some people I trust from India think he quite loose with his techniques and vulnerable to edging to slip/keeper.
He did get dropped for that reason.

Then again it seems like England are dropping any players with technical faults.
Hales got dropped for it as well.
Actually thought hales/ robson did a decent job but England were not giving time to them getting found out technically and overcoming it.

Hales had a disciplinary issue going on as well which didn't endear him to Bayliss, then didn't go to BD which might have been held against him.

Because let's be honest no player is perfect technically.
Vast majority of players will struggle at times and it is how they overcome that and score runs that matters.
Not really sure why England looking for a perfect opener.

Surely Waugh didn't get to 50 every time though. It feels line Root does.

Has one of only three tons in the series to give him his due.

True, he just seems to make it look easy, and then get out when a big score looks certainty.

England could be in trouble here.

Bayliss doesn't like a batsman or batting depth at 8 though which probably makes England weaker in the future not sure why he doesn't like the extra batting.

Woakes would expect to be batting 8-9, that's plenty of batting in the lower order.
