Yet another crucial score from the 6-7-8 pivot. I'd guess that England only have a par score though?

Here he is.

The balance of England's side is one of those unsolvable enigmas at the moment. Many internet commentators were unhappy at England having 'six bowlers' even though the number of all rounders made that likely and there not really being a down side to have bowling options. England's 6-7-8 are a batting strength and more consistent than the new 3-5s that have been tried (Vince/Malan/Ballance/Duckett). Surely it is only pragmatism to move the 6-7-8 axis up to 5-6-7. Then with Woakes to come back in at 8, England are looking for someone to operate in the tail, which surely wouldn't be a specialist bat.

This (like the old Flower era 4/5 bowler conundrum) is an issue that is hard to resolve definitively as the power see-saws everytime one of the Mo/Ben/YJB axis either fails or succeeds and so tends reoccur with irksome regularity, triggering a heart sinking nausea among those finding themselves reading yet another restating of the situation.

Bloody hell, Heino is still in. That like having a wicket up your sleeve.

Temba at four. The media commentariat were banging on about QDK moving up the order as a quick fix for SA's batting malaise. And now they've decided QDK must move back down the order as a quick fix for SA's batting malaise.

Saffers are struggling yet again with only 3 specialist batters to follow: Bavuma, Faf and Quinton.

Bavuma out for 46. That said he seems more comfortable at four than de Kock who probably should bat at around six.

One more wicket for Anderson to get his first five wicket test haul at his home ground.

This is the sort of batting card I was anticipating of WI rather than SA. Small partnerships, the false promise of a recovery, then one wicket bringing two. A few starts but nothing substantial.

Bairstow should have taken that catch, tough but gloves not in the right place.

Three tough chances put down on the last few overs.
