The bowlers will feel like the run outs were a couple of wickets that got away.

I wonder if our Caribbean brothers had internet in the 80s, whether their supporter message boards read like this one about their opponents.

Windies put their eggs in the t20 basket, what we are being served here is a team of no hopes who probably only care for an ipl deal at the end of the dsy

I'm guessing it will be over tonight.

Maybe could get Blackwood to come out as opener and just bat on?

Windies need a Brathwaite marathon like he has done before, and a whole lot more

Powell out for 10. That's what we expect from him.
:facepalm

Don't know how Powell gets in this side...an aging half fit Chris Gayle is a better option than him...never gets more than a start...ever

Aside from Holder the players on this tour are not good enough to play in the CPL. Darren Bravo chose the CPL over a test tour of England. He will be available for the one day series though when the CPL is over.

When I worked in the Jamaica media in the late 1980s we wanted good competition because that meant more interest. We wrote stories saying that the 1986 England team would put up a much better fight than they did in England. How wrong we were.

The good old days.

This is just painful. I hope (and expect) West Indies to make a slightly better fist of the second innings, but it could easily be over today.

Pointless stat time - third highest first innings lead ever conceded by the West Indies against England, and sixth highest in matches between the two teams.

Worst ever performance for West Indies vs England was probably
http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/1439 ... s-2nd-Test

So far the scorecard looks very similar. Can West Indies do worse than then?

On the evidence of the last three days, these guys are nowhere near good enough for an IPL deal either, with the possible exception of Blackwood.

Kyle hope out for 12. Two down.
:no
That's 11 wickets in the day so far.

46-2, not good at all from the windies, no application being shown at all

To be honest, it's not just the West Indies who have failed to show application when faced with a big first innings total / total to chase down. England and South Africa were both guilty of the same just this summer!

And remember England's performances over the winter away from home. England can't pity the WI so much.
