Mitch Marsh was dropped though, before he got injured.

More than useful fourth seamer but has done little with the bat.

I think Hilton is a batter isn't he, and the bowling is an afterthought.

M Marsh was dropped, and to be fair he needed to be. He played over 20 tests and it seemed he did not have test match temprement. In saying that im not sure many have done better since he was dropped.

Handscomb has secured his place, but i think that is as much to do with the lack of options rather than anything else. And he now bats at 4, so the problems still remain with the Australian line up. 5,6, and 7 have been troubled positions for a long time now.

Khawaja back at 3 for the ashes, handscomb at 5, so that leaves 6 and 7. The tail will start a 6 :no

Maxwell seems to be getting a lot of criticism. Doesn't seem to be playing that badly.

I'm not sure that matters, as long as Smith and Warner keep racking up the tons as they have been. For years now Australia's top order has been making huge runs at home, even if 6 and lower haven't contributed much. And Handscomb and Renshaw look decent enough, plus Khawaja scores at home. Unlike England, who bat all the way to 9 in theory, but have effectively tailenders at 2 and 3.

This match is interestingly poised. I agree with the others who said that 150 lead would be decisive for Australia, whereas 70-odd Bangladesh are in the game. You'd probably rather be in Australia's position, but they will have to bat last.

According to Google weather, there should be play today, but the rain might have the final say tomorrow.

No addition to the overnight score for Australia, but an early wicket, and Cummins bowling well.

What lead do we think Bangladesh need? In my opinion 200 should be competitive, and 250 probably will seal the game, but will be a tough ask.

Any lead at all for Bangla would be something at this stage. What just happened? I step away from the keyboard for an hour, and 55/5

Aus in total control here, and to be fair these two batters have had a lot of luck.

If BD can eek out a 100 run lead, that might just make Australia unsure.

Lyon has 18 wickets in this series, the most by an Australian in a 2 match series. :salute

Rahman has been the luckiest batsman today. Cue a 100 for him.

Pretty decisive morning for Australia. it's going to take a recovery on the scale of Headingley 81 for BD to turn this around.

Ino the 43rd ovver and Agar has had one over, whilst OKeefe is in his 17th :hmmm

Obviously the left and right hand conbination with Lyon is a factor, but even so, it seems Smith trust OKeefe more than he does Agar.

But Lyon looks a totally different prospect on this pitch to OKeefe. OKeefe has looked a little lifeless, and i really can not understand why he was called into the team.

Good effort by Cummins to dig out a wicket with such an old ball.

Five for Lyon. I guess BD need a 150 lead to make this interesting. Australia need the rain to stay away.
