Shanks was a very good poster in the latter half of his time here. Shame he's not still contributing.

Shanks was the reason why I got into this site in the first place.
doesn't seem to enjoy cricket that much anymore.
prefers tennis more now.

Probably just needs to find a new country to support.

How's Glenn Maxwell looking?

305 for Bangladesh, 7 for the GOAT. Hard to know what to make until Australia have batted - on the one hand, 305 seems sub par, but in the previous test it was a winning score, and the track is clearly turning already if Lyono has bagged seven.

Australia are going to need to bat for a very long time to win this match. They will need to score at least 400, and other than the 2 at the crease now, which other batters in this team would one say are in form?

7 Wickets for Lyon :salute How long will it be until people start wanting to replace Lyon when the tests start again in Australia.

How is the Ashes side progressing?

Renshaw/Warner/Smith/Handscom/?/?/?/Starc/Cummins/Lyon/Hazlwood

Maybe UK will come in at home? The keeper? There are a few unsettled places. Not sure Slapsie will bat in the top six at home.

i would think that Slapsie and Wade are playing their last tests here, unless they both produce something special.

Keeper i guess will be Neville, and Khwaja will come back in because he bats so well at home. Maybe there will be a place for Travis?

I also think there are some big questions over Hanscombe and Renshaw. They will start, but neither have had a good Winter, just that others have done much worse.

But he has shown good temprement in ODI, and since they have tried everyone else, it just seems like it might be his turn.

But Cartwright mike make some runs here, and we wont need to deal with question untill the second ashes test.....

Smith gets his 50, and these 2 are making it look easy at present. Going at a good rate to try and force a result. Cue a collapse....

Encouraging start here.

Not sure who the underdogs are here anymore. Not certain where my sympathies lie.
