surprised bangladesh didn't go for the defensive option and just prepare a belter of a wicket and then make australia bat first and watch them get 600-700 or odd with rain around most likely a draw would have taken place.
crazy how lucky bangladesh and sri lanka got with the weather.
5 test so far in both countries yet no rain fallen during cricket.
that is crazy luck considering rain expected in every day of each test.

Bird must be wondering of he will ever get another test match.

He will probably play in the Ashes Series at the rate the faster bowlers are getting injured :)

67 run partnership here. Maybe the new ball coming in an hour will be advantageous for Australia.

Hilton going for a few.

looks likely to be an 1-1 draw.

Is that an attempted jinx ? Bit early to be writing off the home team ! Unless they're getting skittled for 140 (which clearly isn't happening now ; but was hardly likely even earlier ) they are not going to be out of the game...

At 188/5 off 68 they are probably "in front" now ; though not overwhelmingly so.

Glad to see Cummins back on the field . Not sure why he was off ? But obviously nothing serious.

Though I guess this Is already as long as he's gone without an injury since his debut so he is due to break down soon...

Not much doing for O'Keefe . Australia (chiefly Lyon and Cummins) have really kept a lid on the scoring today ; but Shabbir seems to have broken the traces and is motoring along pretty well now.

Cartwright getting another go. First over was a bit underwhelming.

pitch looks good for batting, 250 won't be enough for bangladesh.
300 for banglesh would be competitive.
400 is probably par here though.

They've been bowling with crappy old ball for the duration of this partnership. Wait and see what happens when they get a harder ball that bounces a bit.

Nearly touching a hundred partnership here.

Well it looks fine for batting at the moment. But do you really think conditions will stay that way ? If Bangladesh get 330 here I reckon they will be in a good place. Australia would need a handsome lead to offset having to bat last.

alfie bangladesh still got a long way to go for 330 though.
they still need another 120-130 to get.

There's the new ball just as the hundred partnership comes up. Should be a key last half an hour.
