they still need another 120-130 to get.

I don't think they'll get that many ...especially after Shabbir has come out - good five for Lyon :clap and actually a pretty sharp stumping from the much maligned Wade.

But I do not have a lot of faith in the Australian batting on these pitches. Sure this one looks pretty benign at present ; but I'll wait until both teams have batted...

Cummins looks tired.
not sure it was wise for australia to only play one fast bowler.

Excellent bowling from Nathan Lyon today. The problem for Australia is that the other bowlers have been fairly toothless...Cummins has done a fine job without much help from the pitch ; but it is looking as if Lyon is going to have to take nearly all the wickets.
I'm sure he wouldn't mind taking eight :) but what they really needed to polish off the Bangladesh innings was a bit more assistance from his spin colleagues.

In any case Australia have done pretty well to have Bangladesh 246/6 with a couple of overs to go. What happens in the morning may be significant : Lyon will be fresh perhaps but the hobbling Cummins looks as if he's going to need lots of ice bath and massage overnight...

think Bangladesh have done enough to win the series now.
Australia would need to do something special to draw the series.
with rain around, bangladesh probably got enough runs in the board to at least draw the game.
good lower order batting from bangladesh, didn't really think they would get 240 so they proved me wrong.

Maybe. Not much for the pace men though...Bird might not have had much fun on this. At least Cartwright can bat...

Bangladesh of course not bothering with more than one seamer. But that is arguably more "normal" for them.

253/6 at the close. Evens I reckon.

well done that is the odds for bangladesh at the moment, although that looks huge at the moment but weather is around and surely it would rain once in bangaldesh/sri lanka during monsoon season so it probably correct if you put weather into account.

For me i would be happier in BDs position at present. They have seen Lyon take 5 wickets on the first day, so their spinners will be pleased with what they have seen, and they will once again look forward to bowling to this Australian batting line up on these conditions.

From the bits i have seen, Lyon looked good, and agar had his moments. Okeefe gamble as not paid of yet, and im not sure it will. Take away Lyons effort today, and Australia would be in real trouble. As it is, they are still in this, but chasing 350 will be to much for them, specially bating last.

As for Cummings being the only quick, obviously Australia want to injure him again. :stupid

Hmm even day...suspect Bangladesh are moving themselves into a position now where they can't really lose the game therefore making game safe...just hope they don't panic being in a series winning position and choke...think whole cricket world wants Bangladesh series win, for the sake of test cricket..
