"Both Sunil Narine and Darren Bravo have declined to be considered for ODIs in England. Narine has however confirmed his desire to play 50-over cricket again but has asked to play in our Regional Super50 before he is considered and Darren said he was not available for selection. Dwayne Bravo said he is still not 100% fit, but is looking at a possible return to international cricket next year."

Not a strong windies series... i know Chase has struggled in ODI'S, thus far, but would have stuck with him for this series...

England to announce their squad on Monday I think.

Wouldn't be surprised to see both Root and Stokes rested. Bairstow and Ali are the others who play both Tests and ODIs - Woakes too though you'd suspect England will want to give him game-time after his injury.

One player to look out for would be Livingstone, as England may want to pick him for the Ashes squad. Whilst there is more of a separation now of the Test and ODI teams, his 50-over century for the Lions earlier this summer puts him contention for the ODI side anyway. He, Hales and Ballance are possibly competing for 1 space, maybe 2.

They'll want to take a further look at Tom Curran - could he play in the ODIs as well as the T20s? Will be interesting to see how he, and Jake Ball for that matter, cope with a rampaging Gayle. Can they make room for Crane? I guess that would depend on the length of the tail. Is Wood fit?

England and Warwickshire.

Also tend to follow any former/current/prospective England players.

Wood is back playing for Durham seconds and I think they're hoping he'll play in next weeks Championship match.
Tom Curran has had a back injury but I think Surrey are hoping he will also return next week.

Don't know who they'll pick for these ODIs but I'd caution against taking too much from them in selecting an Ashes squad ...

Last one day star player to make a seamless transition to Tests was KP... And a fair few since who haven't !

Problem is though we've still got a lot of unresolved positions in the Ashes squad. Present likely squad of seamers is too much the same. Ideally then to look at another paceman to support Wood e.g. Tom Helm and a left armer e.g. Mark Footitt. Missed a trick surely in retaining same squad for the 3rd test having just shown it's lacking.

"England have resisted the temptation to rest their big guns for the Royal London Series, although Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali do get a one-match Twenty20 break. In two 14-man squads announced on Monday evening for the one-off NatWest Twenty20 and then five ODIs against Windies, live on Sky Sports Cricket, the selectors have sprung few surprises."

http://www.skysports.com/cricket/news/1 ... don-series

England squad for five-match Royal London ODI series against West Indies:

E Morgan (capt), M Ali, J Bairstow, J Ball, J Buttler, T Curran, A Hales, L Plunkett, A Rashid, J Root, J Roy, B Stokes, D Willey, C Woakes.

England squad for NatWest T20 against West Indies at Chester-le-Street on September 16:

E Morgan (capt), J Bairstow, J Ball, J Buttler, T Curran, L Dawson, A Hales, C Jordan, D Malan, L Plunkett, A Rashid, J Root, J Roy, D Willey.

Thought there was a chance Willey might be shuffled out.

I think Willey won't play. Ball and Woakes to open the bowling and Plunkett and Stokes as first change. Curran may get a game or two.

Willey better in 20/20s - 21.40 than ODIs 34.78

Still a very good record in ODI'S though, good at top of the innings, don't know why he dosen't bowl at the death...he's actually pretty useful at back end of the innings..

The match in Belfast is washed out, and abandoned without a ball being bowled...who would've expected that to happen?
