Gayle out for 37. Shai Hope out for 35. Neither pushed on.

Spin proving hard to get away. Pleased to see England have gone back to two spinners. Maybe because Wood is out.

And a bit surprised that Willey is back having been shuffled out recently. Again, Wood is out, but Ball and Finn have been playing. Maybe TRJ might have had another go having played ok on his debut v SA.

Gentle Ben gets Samuels! Imagine the crowd enjoyed that one. Though maybe not as much as the NZ born Ben Stokes.

Long tail for the WIs today. You'd say Holder is more of a number 8 than a 7. Though I haven't checked whether they're available for selection, you'd think the side could do with Pollard, Bravo the elder, Roston Chase or even Daren Sammy ahead of say Bishoo/Taylor.

WI have left out Sunil Ambris and Kyle Hope as batting options. Plus Cummins and Joseph otherwise from the squad.

WI fizzling out somewhat.

Mo has been rather disappointingly underbowled.

They all got the engine warm, just that no one could go through the gears and carry the innings. Not sure another bat would have helped. One of the ones they picked had to make more of their opportunity and bat through.

204 shouldn't be enough. England can make a mess of the middle overs though, so it's not all over.

Big bravo is the only one unavailable. He played through a hamstring injury to lead Trinidad and Tobago to victory in the CPL. The others were ignored.

West indies 204-9

Holder 42 not out

Yes fair point. If Gayle or Hope had got going it would be a different story.

The WI side reminds me a bit of how we looked before Stokes broke through (thinking '11 world cup here). We had 6 batsmen followed by Yardy and 4 bowlers. Wasn't much there other than the top 6 - how times have changed now!

Back to the game I expect us to knock these runs off easily enough - England to win by 7 wickets.

Watched a bit of first innings on TV, just put TMS on though as can't currently watch on TV, and Michael Vaughan is dreadful to listen to, truly is!

Leader of the heroes of 05. Vaughany is a great figure in the story of English cricket. The most attractive England batter I've seen, with the greatest peak. I like him as an analyst too. As a raconteur and radio presence he's not that great (but far better then Boycott surely?).
