No luck for Broad...Ben Stokes of all people drops a straightforward catch at fourth slip !

This dropping disease is : catching ...err - well you know what I mean :)

He seems to bowl within himself these days. He said he wanted to play until 40. Hopefully there'll be better options before he reaches that age.

Interesting to see how he goes during the coming ashes. 26 wickets in 13 test in Australia, if he keeps to those averages, he will ned a few years to get to kumbles record.

Broad the unlucky bowler again. Could do with a bit of luck. Only 18 wickets at 36 this summer.

Anderson has took 33 wickets at 15.62 this year so if he keeps that up then he should at least overtake McGrath.

One of the best English conditions bowlers (McGrath? Marshall?). He'll pick up plenty in a seven Test home summer every year.

He has had a poor summer, hasn't had one of those special spells yet.

Anderson averaging 25 at home. I thought he'd be around 20.

It doesn't seem that long ago we were celebrating his 400 . And I recall some discussion on here as to whether he had any prospect of getting to 500...think a few posters were doubtful he'd last long enough ...

As you say , Arthur , he doesn't try to test the speed gun these days : and he doesn't really need to. It's all about the accuracy and movement. Though he still gets around 84-85 so he's not exactly slow.

Don't think he will play to 40 ! But I reckon he might manage the next couple of years ; perhaps he might miss a tour at some point ?

Ball is doing plenty still so England will be hoping for a few more wickets with this new ball...

Ball will swing more and more as it gets older as they get the desired shine on one side.

Conditions are verging on unplayable.

Maybe WI would settle for two tonight if it's a better batting day tomorrow. And one of them is Kyle.

All at home. Where his record is sublime.

The 3 test matches before that in India his averige was 50 at a strike rate of 120. At that rate he will need to be playing for another 50 years..
