"Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal has been ruled out of the second Test against South Africa in Bloemfontein after aggravating a left thigh injury he sustained during the pre-series warm-up match in Benoni. Tamim played the first Test in Potchefstroom, scoring 39 and 0 in Bangladesh's 333-run defeat."

297-3 SA right on ton top, good run rate as well only 65 overs bowled so getting them a decent click

Bavuma missed an opportunity to cash in...out for seven.

Still, his Test average of 33 is still better than most of the WI batsmen.

347-3 still 5 overs away from the new ball, getting messy for Bangladesh!

396-3 SA racking them up on day 1, Bangladesh's attack away from home is appaling, they have used 8 bowlers today!

Bavuma will be a bit annoyed to miss out.

Scoring 428 runs in a day when I was a kid would be inconceivable. Sometimes sides wouldn't go past 200. Though fewer overs would be bowled then. For all that I think slow over-rates are damaging the game, they are far better than in the 70s/80s.

South africa 573-4 declared...once again, de Kock doesn't get a chance to bat much.

few more runs to play with this time! I thought they declared too early last time...doubt they will need to bat again this time

A nice stats boost for the SA players.
