Think the plan is for Carthwright to open during the whole series.

Im suprissed the game managed to get finished in the end. But Australia batting last, with only 20 overs well after the first innings has finished, India were always going to be favourites if play started. Chasing a score was always going to be tough even before the weather got involved. Australia lost it by letting India get a score after having them 3/11 and 5/85.

Some consolation that our team has comprehensively won both series (WI and SL) after the unexpected loss to Pakistan. Was anticipating some superb performances after the wake up loss. Also ahead in this series versus Australia.

A couple of changes for Australia. Agar and Richardson in for Zampa and Faulkner. India field the same side.

Reasonable start for India, considering the weather. What's the pitch like?

Dunno, but I was surprised to see India have played only one ODI at Eden Gardens in the last three years. India got over 400 in 2014, and England and India shared over 600 runs last year.

125 at half way with Rahane just run out. Good start for India but salvageable for Australia. Agar going for a few too many for a spinner in the middle overs.

Well played by Kuldeep Yadav, an international hat trick is an amazing achievement.

Australian bats just not turning up again. Indian spinners are just to good for them.

Stunning defeat for Australia.

When was the last time Australia lost a two nation ODI series at home to England? Must be the best chance for a long time this winter.

A quick check suggests England have never won a bi-nation series in Aus.

Finch playing himself back into the ODI team here. :salute

Australia looking much better batting first, though so far little in it for the spinners......
