A couple of early wickets for Woakes of England. He's started the tour reasonably well. Maybe the lights having an effect, transforming the Adelaide Oval into Trent Bridge in May.

Would have been worth a declaration from England, but they went in at nine down because Ball is injured. Good runs for JB. No hundred yet on tour, but most have a fifty in the top six.

Handy seventy put on by Crane and Bairstow.

4-12 for Woakes and a wicket for Overton who has been economical in the game and has a couple of wickets in the match, after going round the park v WAXI. Maybe his best chance of getting a game though might be because the alternatives are either getting injured or awaiting trial.

2-fer for Overton and CAXI 24-6. This is going to fuel team meeting regarding post dinner bowling conditions.

36/7.

Will this game be over today?

Difficult enough to get my head around the time difference in Oz, but then to have it day/night completely obliterates all my sense of what the playing times are.

I'm guessing we're in the post dinner pre supper session?

Its in Perth? Normally, they would be finishing (or planned to have) by 6pm - which was 54 minutes ago - it is just on 10pm here. Is this a d/n as well?

Crane and Root are bowling now. Can't be because of the light.

Someone called Matt Short has double figures.

45 partnership (after 25-5). England again losing their edge with an older ball.

It’s not often that these reasons for team changes come up, nor are put before us in such a deadpan style.

George Garton is covering for Ball.

Even less experienced than Curran

I would have picked Plunkett... as he hits the deck hard and nowadays with control. Yes, he has hardly played CC in the recent past but horses for courses.
