I think Kent and Essex are fairly decent warm up games.....certainly better than a composite Australia XI

Other than Paine and Couter Nile in these teams for Australia rep teams, they have been a complete joke.

Did Australia play the Kent and Essex first teams?

TBH Essex and Kent bowling was substandard, batting was strong.

Bit of both.
4-5 fringe or young players and some recogniseble players.
Bell Drummond, Westley etc played.

Kent team.

Essex

The issues generally been the bowling.
Suspect the main issue is that the intensity of the warm up games gone so even if you get a strong bowling attack chances are they either will bowl within them selves or they won’t bowl many overs to risk injury.
Essex or Kent didn’t really risk any of their main bowlers in the game.

Exactly that is their point.

Australia laughed off England Idea saying they don’t even get to play in England’s test ground and face bottom teams of div 2 and that two of a weakened nature’s side.
